Maritime Day 2026
Maritime Day in the United States is being celebrated on May 22 and we once again recognize the contributions of the U.S. maritime industry to our economy and security. This last year, both the Congress and the Trump Administration emphasized the need to strengthen the U.S. maritime community and have allocated significant resources to these programs. The U.S. Great Lakes Shipping Association proudly supports these efforts and has made a financial commitment, in conjunction with the Duluth-Superior Maritime Club, to the University of Wisconsin-Superior Transportation and Logistics Management Program. Together we will strengthen our national security while serving the vessel operators who bring needed resources into the Great Lakes manufacturing centers and export natural resources and manufactured products for distribution into the global economy. 5/22
